A Word from the Pastor
Welcome to our website.
Please use the resources on our website for your
benefit.
We hope that some day we get to meet you, so feel free to pop
in for a visit when you feel you are ready to. If you do decide to visit
us, remember to come as you are. You don’t have to dress up. You don’t
have to fit into some kind of churchy mold. We don’t care who you voted
for in the last election. We don’t care where you have been or what you
have done. We are not here to judge or look down on others. We are here
to show others love, the same love God has shown us. So please don’t
feel the need to pretend about anything. GEFC is a place where God meets
people who are far from perfect. That means anyone is welcome no matter
where they are on their spiritual journey.
So come as you are…
…but don’t stay that way. It is easy to come and just fill a chair, and if that is all you want to do, you will be welcome here just as you are, but you will be missing out on some pretty incredible stuff. Spectators find it hard to grow at this church. Take a risk and meet some people or check out a connection group. Get involved. Go deeper. There could be something awesome waiting just around the corner, but you won’t find it by just sitting in a chair. It takes exploring, it takes searching and when you search you will find and what you will find will be far better than you expected.
